Do you agree that we should have a national religion?

Do you agree that women should not be allowed to vote?

That we should deport non-Christians?

That we should not allow any other churches to be built or exist other than Christian churches in this country?

That only Christian politicians should be allowed in government?

That there should not be a separation of church and state?

That is where we are apparently being led at this point in time.

I want more freedom on those and on many other issues.

If any American really wants all the stuff you listed, maybe they would be happier moving to another country.

I certainly don't believe that most Americans want these things, but the people in power right now apparently do, because they want more power or are afraid that they are losing power. They are apparently wanting to deport up to 100 million people in order to 'purify' this country that they want control of. They would outlaw the public prayers of anyone not of their particular brand of religion, and the building of any churches, synagogues, mosques or temples that do not conform to their brand of Christianity.

The pastor that was invited by Hegseth to speak or pray at the Pentagon is known to have said that women should not be allowed to vote and that slavery actually nurtured "affection" between masters and slaves.

This is who we have in our government right now. I think probably a lot of people don't even realize that.

The founding fathers wanted no national church and intrusion into the church by the government. That was the very first thing stated in the first amendment.

An official religion means that the the religion has the power of the government and the sword of the government behind them to do their bidding. It doesn't end well.

In the middle ages, Europe was Roman Catholic by law. By the 1500's everyone was required to baptize their infants. During the Protestant reformation, it was still the same. The state or nation was officially Reformed, Lutheran, etc. All babies must be baptized into the church. (exceptions were Muslims or Jews. I know not why. Maybe they were considered non-people). In any case, if one didn't comply they were tortured or killed. The government collected your tithe through taxes.

Let's move into the 20th century. Stalin made Russia officially atheist. The government destroyed churches and killed people that didn't worship underground.

In the 21st century, North Korea is officially atheist. They either kill or send to re-education camps people being caught as Christians. Strange, a lot of folks here want an atheist country, but none of them want to move there.

Then of course there is Iran, an official Muslim country. Women are killed in public for not dressing right. The clerics rule with an iron fist because they have the power of the government behind them.

There are pockets in the USA, where local Muslims want to enact sharia law in their communities and make Islam the "official" religion in that city. Not a good sign.

Like I said, official religions for nations or states is a very bad thing.

Can you tell me what atheists here are calling for an atheist country? I don't know of any.

But I do know of one President who said to "forget about" the separation of church and state. Does that not worry or concern you?

I'm surprised you haven't heard of Epic City in Texas. It is a planned Muslim community for Muslims only. Sharia law and everything. It is the reason that some Texas representatives are sponsoring the "No Sharia Act" in congress.

I don't keep a list of names like some folks do. I do recall people wanting to silence Christians and allow them to worship and talk about Jesus in private. Sort of a de facto atheist country. Even Dawkins is smart enough to know that he is way better off living in a somewhat Christian culture. My point is no one want to move to North Korea where atheism is enforced.

I didn't even know the guy said it, because I generally don't waste my time listening to politicians. They all lie. A day doesn't go by when I'm not disappointed by the things he says. But the alternative, the abortion party, is an absolute abomination. There is no good win anywhere in politics.

Did you also not know that he told “Christians” to vote for him, and that they wouldn’t even need to vote anymore afterwards because it would all be fixed so good…? So you voted for him because you believed the lies about “the party of abortion”? Did Jesus tell you to believe such things and to vote for him?
