They are gutting education, healthcare, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, childcare, food assistance... as we speak. Don't believe their lies. They don't care about babies.

They are protecting billionaires, pedophiles and sex traffickers... as we speak.

They are committing waste, fraud and abuse against American citizens and taxpayers... every day, on an unprecedented scale... all while lying, distracting and accusing others of same.

They are committing crimes everyday... against our Constitution, our rights and freedoms... terrorizing, intimidating and threatening citizens... polluting and diluting our news sources and our justice system... aiming to destroy our free and fair elections, and our democracy.

And now, in the face of plummeting poll numbers and upcoming election, they are attacking a sovereign country in the middle east...

I don't know if our attack in the middle east was justified.

I do know war and national defense are expensive.

If we reduced our war budget, then we would not need to reduce spending on all the stuff you mentioned in your first sentence.

The national debt scares me. Instead of lowering taxes, we should try to pay down the national debt.

Yes, war is expensive, in more ways than one.

Especially religious wars... and especially when opposing sides claim to have the 'one and only' "all powerful God" on THEIR side and/or the only 'correct' scriptures/interpretations... because with those types of beliefs/faith, there can be no compromise or end to the wars.

Only as a "functional secondary designation."

The official permanent designation is a prerogative of Congress. To the degree the latter organization remains a functional, relevant entity...and that lessens with every sunrise, it seems.

Further or more-detailed exploration is not something I find appropriate to this board, though.

Department of War is more honest and appropriate.
