Does anyone care?

“Ignorance plus arrogance leads to a dangerous, often destructive, combination known as arrogant ignorance or a fatal lack of awareness. This pairing creates a "dangerous person" who is both wrong and confident, resulting in poor decisions, missed learning opportunities, and the alienation of others due to overconfidence and lack of empathy.

Consequences and Outcomes:
Failed Leadership and Performance: Such a combination leads to incompetence and poor decision-making in both personal and professional contexts.

Stunted Growth: Arrogant individuals often refuse to learn because they are convinced they already know everything, preventing personal and intellectual development.

Destructive Behaviors: This mixture often leads to stubbornness, stubborn refusal to accept feedback, and the destruction of personal or professional relationships.

Dangerous Outcomes: In specialized fields, this combination is fatal; it can cause critical errors in medicine or financial disasters in business.

Isolated Misjudgments: It causes people to act with unwarranted confidence, leading to severe mistakes that are often defended rather than corrected.

Ultimately, this combination masks insecurity and often results in humiliation when reality finally catches up with the individual's false confidence”

They are bankrupting our country, morally and fiscally, giving tax breaks to billionaires while cutting medical care and food assistance to the working poor. Hold them accountable, under the law, not above the law. Save our democracy.

It is people ‘of faith’ like you who are so easily swayed to see/believe what another self-absorbed narcissist wants you to believe in order for you to feel powerful through him, no matter how unbelievable, malicious and obvious the lies and motives are. No need to pretend anymore. Just own it. It has nothing to do with a perfect God or good will. Quite the opposite.

Some people are smart enough to ask for help from others who are smarter.

I've had a few co-workers who were smart enough to recognize their limitations. They did decent work because they were smart enough to get help from co-workers who were smarter.

That's different from what you described.

Part of it, imo, is how we view ourselves in terms of community.

Some have an individualist, almost alienated, view of themselves in terms of community. Some see themselves as one part of a multi- faceted community, each one with different and valuable contributions to offer.

So, in order to be an effective leader, one has to know the character of his followers, and implement a relevant style that is motivating. That explains why we see some succeed and others fail when it comes to achievement.

(A university professor in a business leadership class told me an interesting story about county employees taking the class to improve their promotion opportunities. One thing they did not want in their “record” was their discussion about Hitler because ‘by the book’ Hitler is considered a good leader because of his followers and their deeds, even though the mission itself was abhorrent. (Apparently the fact that he ultimately failed isn’t part of that definition.)

There’s a variety of successful leadership styles. Education is a useful tool for improving the performance.

A good leader should recognize experts and get advice from experts.
