I was charged twice for rent this month.

I moved to a new apartment in the same building. This may have been an honest error. I will go to their office tomorrow and hopefully get it corrected tomorrow morning.

I paid them by check, then they did an ACH auto pay for that same amount.

I moved to a new apartment in the same building. I gave them a cashiers check for the first month rent, then they did a ACH autopay for that same amount from my savings account without my permission. They already admitted it was a mistake. They have not returned my money yet.

This is the message I sent them today:

"You owe me $1,987.83. I gave you a cashiers check for my rent of $1,987.83. Then you also took $1,987.83 out of my savings account without my permission. That's theft. Please give it back today or else I will report this to the police. "
