RIP to one of my all-time favorite Christians.

Dolly Parton (1946-2026) was the sort of Christian I have full respect for. She walked the talk with her incredible generosity, particularly her Imagination Library, which got countless children all over the world to love reading. Humble, grounded, and generous...

Seeing a Christian who legit holds Christ as the model for their own behavior always warms the cockles of my black little atheist heart.

I have the greatest respect for TRUE Christians and none at all for the other kind.

Dolly was one of the real ones. The world is poorer without her.

She is missed. Her husbands death was a heavy blow for her.

This is one of my favorite songs of hers. It goes way back, I think to the Porter and Dolly days. It tells the story of her early life well. "One is only poor only if they choose to be."

She was a good woman and I think she always remembered what poor was like.

... so your best bet is to not pontificate on that about which you know so little.

Do what's in line with your skillset. Stick to your little prattle about the price of gasoline and diesel fuel.
