Major Anatomical Flaws
Shared Throat (Choking Hazard): The pharynx acts as a common passageway for both eating and breathing. While a small flap called the epiglottis tries to block the windpipe during swallowing, it can fail, leading to a high risk of choking. This trade-off allowed for human speech.

The Backwards Eye (Blind Spot): The retina is wired backward, meaning the blood vessels and optic nerve fibers sit in front of the light-sensitive cells. This creates a literal blind spot where the nerve passes through. In contrast, cephalopods like octopuses have a more logically arranged retina without a blind spot.

Upright Spine Strain: The human spine evolved from four-legged ancestors. When we became bipedal (walking on two legs), the spine was repurposed to support vertical weight. This causes chronic stress, resulting in lower back pain, herniated discs, and degenerative changes.

The Prostate Squeeze: In males, the urethra (the tube that carries urine) passes directly through the center of the prostate gland. As men age, the prostate often enlarges, pinching the urethra and causing difficult or painful urination.

Challenging Childbirth: Bipedalism required a narrower pelvis for efficient walking, but evolution simultaneously favored larger brains and bigger heads in babies. This mismatch makes human childbirth significantly more painful, difficult, and dangerous compared to other mammals.

The Loopy Laryngeal Nerve: Instead of taking a direct path from the brain to the larynx (voice box), this nerve loops down into the chest, hooks under the aorta near the heart, and travels back up. In giraffes, this detour makes the nerve feet longer than necessary.

Crowded Jaws and Wisdom Teeth: Human jaws shortened over time to accommodate different dietary shifts and brain growth, leaving too little room for wisdom teeth, which frequently become impacted, infected, or painful
