Reads like somebody has bought into somebody’s party line.

I have heard that California taxpayers, as wealthy as all of
them are and must be to live in California, pay more to the
federal government in the form of taxes, then they receive
from the federal government in the form of benefits.

Don’t know if it’s true, but it’s something to think about.

On the other hand, if gas prices increase sufficiently,
it may be that motivating kick in the seat of the pants
that will cause the sale of electric vehicles to skyrocket.

Who would that benefit?
