I am still taken aback by the events around Charlie Kirk's death.

Even factoring in the shock and grief of the moment, I had no idea the level of hatred that has arisen on the right. Fox et al. have spun up the vitriol and contempt to an almost hysterical pitch.

And there seems to be no cognitive dissonance when they spin around and invoke Christianity. This is the opposite of what Jesus taught.

I am still inspired by the blessed moment of forgiveness of the killer by Ericka Kirk. It was a beautiful moment.

and in the next moment the President takes the mic and boasts about how much he sincerely hates half the country. I felt like he said that directly to me. His baldfaced hatred and contempt were unsettling

I disagree with the MAGAs, but I truly do not hate them. I do not fantasize violence against them or wish personal misfortune on them. It is against my personal principles to hate someone on the basis of disagreeing with them.
