The govt has been closed for 3 days now and it looks like this will go deep into next week at a minimum.

The House is done, they are not even coming back into session next week. This will all come down to what happens in the Senate.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune has brought up the clean Continuing Resolution (CR) multiple times. Republicans have 53 votes, but this requires 60 votes to get thru the Senate. So 7 Democrats have to crossover and vote with Republicans to re-open the govt.

Democrats keep trying to include their entire wish list, $500 million for NPR, more subsidies for healthcare insurance, including loopholes for illegal aliens, restoring funding for USAID crazy leftist projects.

President Trump and Senator John Thune are holding the line and
won't allow Democrats to hijack the spending in Washington.👍
