usually they dont lower the int rate unless the economy needs stimulated. i understand why any politician would want it lowered though as our debt is unmanageable. i bought e and i bonds back in the 90s but the rate got so low i sold that shit as it wasnt makinng any real money. thats the down side to bonds and savings accounts.
