The U.S. Justice Department will have to step in if Fulton County DA Fani Willis refuses to charge Stacey Abrams with obstruction of justice and interfering with an election.
A memo just sent to the county commissioners states:
“There is credible evidence that Ms. Abrams engaged in activity to skew the number of ballots counted for President Trump. Ms. Willis should be relieved of her duties and prosecuted to the fullest extent.”
It gets better: under 16 U.S.C. § 503, the federal government can claim jurisdiction over a federally mandated election and charge Abrams itself.
Things just got very interesting in Atlanta.
