Trump calls on everyday Americans to blow the whistle on fraud — and it could make you really rich

WASHINGTON — President Trump named himself “arbitrator” of a new program offering $30,000 bounties for tips leading to fraud charges — with Trump saying whistleblowers could get an additional 1% commission for recovered funds.

Trump announced the Justice Department initiative at a Tuesday afternoon event in the Oval Office with Vice President JD Vance, his fraud czar.

The White House said ahead of the announcement that the program would include a $25 million pot dispensing as much as $30,000 for federal fraud charges, though Trump sweetened the pot with the additional 1% offer if stolen money is recouped.
