This one is about leaking classified info to the NYT.
The case was filed under seal on Oct. 5, exactly 10 years to the day after the alleged leak.
Prosecutors say that in October 2016, Comey had his staff feed info to a NYT reporter to "correct" a Reuters story.
And that classified info was illegally passed along in the process.
It was unsealed today at Comey's request.
His lawyers aren't even arguing he didn't do it.
They're arguing the clock ran out.
This is his 3rd federal case since 2025.
In 2025, he was indicted for allegedly lying to Congress about leaks to the press.
That case was dismissed.
In April he was indicted in NC over his "86/47" seashell post, accused of threatening President Trump.
That case is pending.
Comey's response: "I'm still innocent."
