Megan Kelley lets her freak flag fly when it comes to blowing people up. commenting on war criminal Pete Hegseth's order to "Kill them ALL"

"I'd really like to see them suffer. I would like Trump and Hegseth to make it last a long time so they lose a limb and bleed out."

Elon Musk did post something along those lines on X (formerly Twitter). On December 2, 2024, he wrote:

“Empathy is naïveté”

He followed it up shortly after with:

“More precisely, uncritical empathy for someone who is harmful is naïveté (and, indirectly, harmful to others)”

He was clarifying that he wasn’t rejecting all empathy, but specifically the kind that’s extended blindly or excessively to people who intend harm or exploit others, which he sees as a weakness that can itself cause damage. This fits into a broader pattern of his recent comments criticizing what he views as over-the-top “woke” or performative compassion that ignores trade-offs or real-world consequences.

So the full context is less “empathy is always bad” and more “don’t be a naive doormat, especially toward bad actors.” Classic Elon: blunt first, nuance second (if at all).

Agreed there has to be a rational line to draw between grifters and those who deserve compassion. No naievete.

But what I am talking about is their pure Sadistic delight in destroying a stranger's life. Megan Kelly waxxed almost poetic at the thought of getting to watch the suffering of someone as they are blown up, to savor the moment someone is losing a limb and bleeding out slowly.

And those who take great joy as they watch their neighbor families get destroyed and deported...

It goes beyond hard heartedness and belies Evil. Sadism. A dark trait that has always run thru the republicans.

If a leftwing commentator rhapsodized poetic about savoring the experience of watching someone lose a limb and bleed out slowly -- they would universally be shamed and scorned. Megyn Kelly gets hardly any response.

I honestly believe this principle of disdain for empathy / compassion is a phenomenon mostly on the right. (exceptions of course)
