Like my neighbor Ed Sullivan… n Jack Parr, Steve Allen thru Johnny Carson presenting US with everything from acrobats n jugglers to comedians n musicians in the 50’s, when US were flushed with victory overseas and turned a blind eye on what was growing into a nation of rock n roll rebellion n the 60’s n a bullet fired from the third floor angered all of us US along with those no longer fueled entirely by alcohol n diesel?
Then some of US began to become aware of the depths and interplay of the results of politics to bring us to the brink of becoming the world US see each day on the nightly daily news…
As for the “liberal talking heads”; can you imagine a world where criticism tinged with humor was not allowed and your only source of news was from those who were not… LTH’s would we all be able to pretend that everything was, once again, just peachy-keen and A-OK?
When one looks at the swing from left to right, then right to left, then left to right to left and back again, one may begin to wonder if there is a sensible and doable middle-ground that will continue to allow this Republic to exist as a democracy, as opposed to the many historical alternatives??
