Part of the fun part of Foster was watching his panel sitting in anticipation of what would come out of his mouth next and in what direction.
so good in this day and age of e z hate n mindless rage to listen carefully to the wisdom of what Harpo had to say…
Thanks for a memory of when funny didn’t have to be ugly

Not to pry into why, but at the time, was it war ?
Mine was.
?
Unbeknownst to me, my father had connections with the head father in the parish, who was on close terms with the Pope, having talked him, the Pope, into letting some scientists snip off some samples of their ‘Shroud’.
He wrote some books about it.
A priest has gotta generate outside income; you know, Bingo n Carnival n Book sales n stuff…
Anyway, when I arrived at the head of the line at the Jax station, the guy asked some questions and sent me to a room to wait for a few hours… like seven. Then another guy told me to leave n I would hear from them. I did, and didn’t, so I let it ride as their error… I had friends n kin who went in and came back… different
He had a life-size replica of the “Holy Shroud” Installed in a little room, just off the right of the entrance by the steps that went up to the Bell Tower. The was a little place where the people could kneel and worship and adore the shroud, or the replica, or whatever they have in their mind they are doing-
He baptized me and did all the Catholic stuff as we were each growing older. I just found out, unlike me, he was a twin

I realize war is necessary sometimes but , I don’t like it personally. We’ve lost a lot of men and women because of it . Just look at all the men who died during WW2 . A lot of them were teenagers or early 20’s . The reason that I said that , I just didn’t see it at the times was because . I was young and I hadn’t experienced a lot of things before. But, when I turned into a teenager that all changed. I guess what I’m saying is , I didn’t know what was waiting for me
