Actually drew in viewership* and raised funds for some worthy causes. The question to be answered** in the short n long term is who will the net work find to be able to replace him and draw in viewership and earn them advertising money?
* After all, isn’t that really what entertainment is all about.
Right up there with distraction.
* * I hate to say it, but I heard the Chinese say it; sometimes Americans don’t really think in the long term, plus interest. Most do the short term line of I-me-mine.
Imagine if all of America, and the Americans who live there, could select a Leader able to distract them with an active imagination n various made up scenarios while his family made nearly a scadzillion dollars with the sale of products, and, as JFK said, ‘the other things…’
The Dawtuh n I saw him in the City some years ago on “The Colbert Report”. He was dripping more make-up than Giuliani and really was not all that funny**, but I saw Jeff Goldblum do a cameo walk-on which was interesting.
Does it trouble you that there are so many more nothing people who seem to be paid more and have accomplished so much more with their nothing lives than the folk doin’ their daily 9 to 5 and barely earn enough to survive?
Something just doesn’t jive, right?
** I might have thought so so I found it not to be so
