Pyro :: Pup :: Male :: Dire x Russian :: Ice Elemental :: “OK” by 8 Graves :: MBTI = INTJ :: Alignment = Undecided :: :: Appearance :: Pyro’s pelt is like his father’s, light and dark browns splotched all over. He has white socks over his two front legs. He stands fairly tall but lean instead of bulky, he burns calories quickly rather than bulks up with muscle. Pyro’s left eye is like his fathers, an icy blue. His right is like his mothers, a darker blue. His blank stare is icy enough, aided by blue eyes, their difference in colour unnerving further. His face often remains in the neutral position, rarely showing expression, unless he chooses to. :: Personality :: ”Everyone here is the same. They don’t notice anything. They don’t say anything. And they don’t think anything.” Preferring to stay in the shadows, this allows him to observe more, to have more time to prepare, to move his chess pieces unobserved. A true strategist, in the art of warfare or in that of people, he has a clear goal in mind, and plans for each possibility accordingly. He is usually good at determining what event will occur in the future, and is more focused than flexible. While he would take the lead where necessary, he prefers to arrange things behind the scenes, and let someone else be the “face” of the group. He is comfortable in his own company, and finds that everyone does things to frustrate him. Disliking people, he may find too late that he actually values others. ”The big secret to breaking the rules is to make it look like you’re following them.” He is good at understanding the motivations behind individuals, and manipulating this to fit his needs, being good or bad. As well as this, he is fairly skilled in acting to suit the situation or his desires, something he had to practise for him to develop it due to an inborn dislike of socialisation, so he could make most effective use of his time. He often doesn't understand why someone may take a course of action, even if he can easily see the principles. “I can’t develop feelings. That’s how most idiots screw up.” Pyro greatly values efficiency, in himself and others, as well as rational thinking. The end always justifies the means, and finds principles such as empathy as greatly confusing, even if he does himself feel compassion at times. The best way to get him to dismiss your opinions (and you) is to base them on ‘feelings’, or logic he thinks is irrational. He is much less emotional than others. This doesn’t mean he doesn’t has feelings, but when he does, Pyro denies or shunns them, for he views them as ‘weakness’, or something that doesn't make sense. Overtime, this will likely cause his feelings to disspate, and to leave him feeling acute emptiness inside. He deals poorly with other people’s emotions, especially an outpouring that he is expected to respond to. Or at least, if someone were to come to him with a problem of the heart, they would leave with practical suggestions applying cold logic, and probably feeling much worse. What he believes to be comforting they don’t, for he has a different outlook to life. ”Say what you want about the deaf.” Once he makes a statement, he believes himself correct, and will tell everyone else they are wrong without concern if it comes to it, even if he is wrong and everyone is telling him so, confident in himself. However, he can also be ruthless in his analysis of himself. Individually minded, he isn't bothered whether his thoughts and opinions are with the ‘norm’ or not. If he asks a question, he expects the honest answer. That being said, he's learnt that giving honest advice is not what others truly want, and is more effort than it's worth, hence tends to keep his true opinions quiet unless he cares about an individual, or sees some gain to speaking. While it takes a fair bit to properly fall out with him, once someone does he will be unforgiving in his actions- completely cutting them out of his life, or even in some cases, will deal hefty punishment without remorse. Guilt isn’t something Pyro generally feels. You could say he doesn’t have much of a conscience, but really it's that he instintively gets an idea in his head, and uses (good or faulty) logic to reason it's correctness, hence he always believes he's done the correct thing. ”What is right from wrong? What is good from evil? Nobody can truly distinguish between them.” However, this doesn't mean he has no morals. Rather, he has a very strong sense of fairness, powered by spotting inaccuracies and hypocrisies in others and the world. His morals do deviate from the normal greatly, and hence some may not see any at all, but others may recognise that he actually has a strong code of morality. Whether he follows them is still to be decided. While ‘the end always justifies the means’ may seem harsh, Infact this is coming from goodwill, because he’s always looking to the future, rather than being stuck in the present. He’d go without a cookie now, if he could get two later. Why choose a fair deal of world suffering in the future, when you could take a path that caused a little world suffering now, and none in the future? ”The only absolute knowledge attainable by man is that life is meaningless.” He has advanced maturity in some areas, so even from a young age he had realised that the best way to break the rules is to make it look like you are following them. Hence, he is seen as a well behaved youth. Growing up too fast, he feels like an adult trapped in the body of a youth, and may at times have the philosophies you would expect of those who had seen many things, or ones you would not expect at all. His beliefs on nihilism, death, and other such ideas can be upsetting to others, while he remainds matter of fact. He learns from each experience, and remembers everything. ”I abhor the dull routine of existence. I crave mental exaltation. That is why I have chosen my own particular profession, or rather created it, for I am the only one in the world." "To let the brain work without sufficient material is like racing an engine. It racks itself to pieces." Just as he may become emotionally empty in the future, even from a young age he is fliterring on the edge of general emptiness. This may cause others to misinterret his other behvaiours. He finds boredom a major issue, for he usually understands intulectual concepts before others, although his physical ability could use some work, for he skirks off training where he can, seeing better uses of his time elsewhere. If circumstances don’t go his way, he may end up drifting into oblivion, knowing nothing or no one. Alternatively, he may become so fixated on something in his quest to eliminate boredom that it consumes him. ”You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty." Pyro finds it hard to form attachments with others. He will grow up amongst people who are bold, wicked, calculating, loud. They are his family, however neither are they soft nor promote this. For someone who is soft, naive, sweet, he may feel an instinctive urge to protect them, to shield them from the world, to make them smile. He may go to great lengths, but these lengths may be for his own selfish purposes, using the excuse of ‘doing it for them’ to justify to himself the terrible means for a good end. He is not ambitious for himself, although he may undertake challenging self-set tasks to relieve his own boredom. Alternatively, he could be extremely ambitious, as in aiming high, completely undaunted and willing to go to any lengths, if it were for a reason (such as, to create the kind of world that someone he cared about wished for).
