And be smart. Cecil, Fowler, and Miller have not been good choices. I think they should be aggressive and go top level guys instead of the mid tier. I know they wont do it for the reasons you stated...bit I just feel with the fan support they need to really jump in. Previous Message
I don’t know what each individual teams budgets are but they certainly have budgets.
They will probably finish in the top 10 of spending probably higher.
They are currently at $176 million. Their highest in team history was $182 million. Last year they were at $168 million at the end of season.
Teams also leave a reserve in the budget for in season acquisitions.
There’s no way they are gonna make any major FA signing unless they remove payroll first. They’ll probably inch their way up to and maybe across the $182 number as the year goes on but they won’t come anywhere close to the luxury tax.
