By the end, though, they were happy and planning a few steps ahead.
Last night, the wife and I played without them and it was really enjoyable. When fairly quickly and it's kind of chill. We drank some wine, listened to music and placed tiles. Kinda zen.
Also, last night, the wife and I played our first round of Ticket to Ride. Decided against bringing on any kids as they get grumpy as we fumble through rules the first time we play any new games.
This was really easy, though, and we'll get them up to speed this weekend. Lot of fun. There's some strategy, but nothing overly complicated. Took under an hour for the two of us.
I won, of course.
Mad Gab tonight. The kids are excited about this one.
Oh, we played New Phone, Who Dis when my daughter was here visiting a couple of weeks ago. A little risque, but not so bad we couldn't include the middle schoolers. They loved being included.
Part of the Cards Against genre, but not nearly so raunchy (though I'm sure an adult version expansion pack is in the works).
