I didn't know any of the back story. His voice was missed, but the musicianship was still there, and the energy was great. Steve always had a big personality that I could see as being hard to take (he was bipolar and self-medicating), and even he admitted there were creative differences before he left. But then, in the midst of promoting a children’s album (which he said he didn’t want to do), he gets busted for cocaine possession. I don’t see how that doesn’t squarely fall on him. Previous Message Mrs. Parm has seen BNL several times, but this is the first time without Steve. I thought it was a good show, but I could definitely see the times where his voice was missing.
