Was an assistant at Northwestern under former Illini assistant Spencer Allen prior to going to WKU where Illinois hired him from.
His dad was the longtime coach at New Trier and his brother Dusty played at Iowa and is now the current head coach at New Trier after also spending some time at Northwestern.
