my larger point is that my decision to go to grad school
set me on a path of serendipitious events that lasted for 20 years. I got my first job out of grad school by being hired by an adjunct professor who taught an economic development course, and that led to a series of right place right time moments that led to a very successful career that I am super fortunate to have. If I don't take that one class in grad school I probably don't even know that site location analytics is even a thing, and if I don't go to visit my college roommmate in California shortly after grad school, I don't meet my wife. Previous Message if, in your alternate timeline, you don’t meet on the day you did, but rather, a week later, probably no big deal However, if you ultimately meet 10 years later, maybe you’re both married to other people by then That’s why I don’t believe in fate
