...long answer...he owned a contracting and construction company here on the west side of San Francisco back in the 1950s - 1980s. From what I understand he and his other business associates used to buy holiday cases of booze...whiskey, scotch, etc and give it out as holiday gifts.
He passed 7 years ago. He and my inlaws were / are notorious hoarders ("waste not want not") and have been VERY gradually clearing out his house. In his office there was a false panel in a closet that I popped off. There were bankers boxes labeled like "Tax returns 1961" etc. Behind all those bankers boxes were a floor safe and these cases of booze.
Being in the industy, I took all the booze to work to look over with our resident whiskey expert and see if there were any gems in there. Previous Message

To see if our resident whiskey nerd thinks anything is good. He bought one in the first 10 minutes for 500 bucks.
I’m trying to see what I can get for the rest. There’s a few in there he thinks might be worth upwards of of 1000 bucks.
