But the gym I used to go to was close to the Hells Angels clubhouse here in San Francisco. There was an older guy in the early stages of Parkinsons that would work out daily. "Rudy".
Rudy had been a Hells Angel for like 40+ years by the time I met him. Been in documentaries for the club. Been in magazines for the club. Been in Folsom Prison for the club.
Anyway, his best physical days were clearly behind him and there were juiced out younger Hells Angels that would work out there all the time.
The level of respect these guys gave him and the presence he had was impressive. Always a cordial, gentlemanly guy...but dude had a distinct presence that I think comes with knowing that you're the shot caller in the room.
A 20K dollar seminar doesn't buy you that for certain.
