Seemed like it was basically Chris Cornell with a backing band
The songs had almost none of the energy and excitement of Rage. It was all droopy depressed Chris Cornell glumness. If they hadn’t publicized who the backup band was, nobody would have guessed it wasn’t just some random studio musicians.  Previous Message I always felt Audioslave didn’t live up to its potential. Audioslave was weaker than the sum of its parts. I only saw them once and best part was when Chris went backstage and remaining members played 3 or 4 Rage songs without vocals. Then Chris came out and everyone else went backstage and he sang a solo acoustic version of Black Hole Sun that was cool, and I generally strongly dislike that song.
