we just went 9-3 and 8-4 in the regular season with a team full of bottom ranked recruiting classes. In many ways it’s highway robbery that we pulled that off, but it’s what needed to happen to set the program up for an opportunity to upgrade the talent long-term.

On one hand, it’s a massive hat tip to Luke who single-handedly won us a bunch of games that we otherwise wouldn’t have. If this thing becomes a consistent winner, he will be the player that made it possible. But it also makes you think about what Bert can do if we can actually upgrade the talent. Especially in the trenches.
