Texas and UCLA did end up being really good that year, so those were legit, it was us who collapsed.
Not trying to be pedantic. We’ve won some good games. But the true top 5 teams, we just haven’t beaten them recently. There’s been no wake forest, let’s put it that way.

This year we beat #11 Texas Tech and lost to #11 Alabama and #5 UConn.
Last year we beat #19 Arkansas and lost to #8 Alabama, #1 Tennessee and #3 Duke.
In 23-24 we beat #1 Kansas in the Maui Strong exhibition and #11 Florida Atlantic, and lost to #4 Marquette and #17 Tennessee.
In 22-23 we beat #8 UCLA and #2 Texas, and lost to #16 Virginia.
Definitely would have been nice to steal one or two more of those, especially the ones at home, but overall a more than respectable showing, especially considering a lot of these were against teams that were ranked higher than us at the time.

Still is annoying as hell how we consistently look outclassed in big non-conference games. We never seem to win them. Constant gut punch.

I don't see much reason to panic. We were 9-5 in 2021, and we seem to be 9-5 every year.
