FOr his birthday this year, my kid asked to do Great Wolf Lodge instead of a birthday party.
We're going up Friday afternoon. and coming back Saturday night. Taking two of his friends.

So, parents of friends of my son invited us to Grey Wolf Lodge for New Years Eve. My first and resounding reaction was the Homer Simpson "FUUUUUUUCK NO" meme.
1. While our kids are friends, I don't super know them well. At a parent level we're more acquaintances.
2. As I understand it, these places are indoor kid resorts and total money sucks.
3. It's NYE and I can't imagine the level of adult drunkenness and general over-stimulation one would have to deal with.
4. As a side-jack, we've had a rash of birthdays lately that all involve some sorta sleepover. We don't do sleepovers. I'll come get them when it's time for bed (save for like one family each kid).
When did multiple day birthday parties become a common thing?!?!
