Is this the year that the Maryland curse is reversed? Methinks so.
Maryland is bad. 152 in the NET. 0-8 in Quad 1 and 2 games. 1-6 in the Big Ten. 1-4 in true away games.
Illinois is good. 7 in the NET. 7-3 in Quad 1 and 2 games. 6-1 in the Big Ten. 9-1 at home.
The Krush will be back. We will be heavily favored.
THE ONLY THINGS that worry me are:
----Maryland kinda went off on PSU the other day
----We haven't had our lazy mid/late January loss yet
----Illini brains might be thinking ahead to Purdue
Maryland has been without their best player (Payne) since mid December...not sure what the deal is there...can't seem to find any info on his status recently. Regardless, last game he played in was 12/13 (if people know what's up, feel free to update)
We'll need to watch Coit. He's good. Went for 43 against PSU this weekend, and tied the Maryland single game record for 3 pointers with 9 in that game against PSU. Beyond that, Maryland is pretty pedestrian.
ENOUGH OF THE FUCKING TURTLE. Take care of business, and then a HUGE game on Saturday with a lot of eyeballs watching.
