Outsiders don't realize that 90% of what Chicagoans eat is thin crust/tavern-style, but the deep dish/stuffed is what 99% of the country thinks of when they hear Chicago-style pizza. There are 4 chains that basically specialize in it with multiple locations around the area. Which do you prefer and why, and what are your local favorites?
A. Giordano's (stuffed)
B. Lou Malnati's (deep dish)
C. Gino's East (deep dish)
D. Nancy's (stuffed)
Local favorites that specialize in DD/stuffed include Uncle Jerry's, Milly's, Pequod's, Burt's Place, The Art of Pizza, Labriola, Louisa's, Bacino's, Uno/Due, and more. Of course, plenty of places do multiple styles.
