Isn’t that a state crime? I don’t think there are status of force agreements between the feds and state authorities that cede local law enforcement authority, are there? That might be a courtesy agreement that has existed in the past but it obviously no longer serves the rule of law or justice, and so local authorities need to enforce the law if they want it to be done.
