By this (admittedly limited sample size for Caleb) Caleb throws the least damaging interceptions of any QB since 1999 and he doesn't throw that many. So it seems intuitively he knows when to put the ball at risk.

A significant portion of his INTs are on 4th down or long situations. Basically they are mostly effectively punts. See the playoffs where both Green Bay and Los Angeles actually cost themselves yardage by intercepting the ball.

Really the only disastrous INT Caleb has thrown in his career is the 2nd and 1 screen pass that the DL tipped to himself in Philadelphia this year.
