And it’s directly correlated to the discussion about the underwhelming atmosphere at games.

If we’re at the ‘this team sucks, I guess we’re just a 3 or 4 seed’ stage of being fans then it’s no wonder that no one gives enough of a shit to make noise at games. We are somehow pissed that we haven’t gotten over the hump with Brad while simultaneously being spoiled by his success. Our fan base has found a way to be a toxic blend of the worst parts of each end of that spectrum.

I’m frustrated too and this loss will bum me out for the next few days, I dwell on this stuff more than I should. And I hate that we felt on top of the world 4 days ago and now it feels like that came crashing down.

But JFC people, why does our fanbase revel in this shit? We played a solid team with two great guards without our two perimeter defenders, and still should have won. It’s super frustrating that it’s now happened 2 games in a row, 1 point away in both games and we needed just one of many little things to go our way.

But it’s not a sign that the team sucks or Brad sucks. If a team that is most likely to be a 3 seed makes you that miserable, then what’s the fucking point? I can remember watching NIT Selection Shows every year under Groce, if a 4 seed is the doomsday scenario here then we should probably reflect on how that should make us feel.
