One day we scheduled the obstacle course for PT.

We all went through, including the officers as a group including this LT.

Then it was time for his fire direction team to go, despite being visibly gassed, this hard charger decided to run it a second time despite all of us questioning his decision.

Long story short, soon after we heard a yell as more than half way up he got tangled in the cargo nets and fell nearly 20 feet, separating his shoulder and putting him in a shoulder sling weeks.

I'll never forget the look on our Battery Commander's face. He was as straight laced, rule-following son of a bitch, who I NEVER once heard complain. As the LT laid there in the dirt, his look said in "Get a load of this asshat. Maybe that will teach him." without saying a word.

Every time I hear about Pete Hegseth, his awful decisions, and performative bullshit, I think of that jagoff of a 2LT.
