It’s not a fun game for the players, but I also have to remind myself the Bears don’t have to do anything with Kmet and Swift until they find a replacement that they like.
I imagine you start to have contract restructure conversations with both now and if they give you the stop sign, you just let them know they may be cut as the offseason goes on and teams have spent their money.

He's got an $11.6MM cap hit next year and the Bears can save $8.4MM cutting him. Both the FA AND draft classes are super deep.
I'm fine with Cole being on the team next year. But can't be on his current deal.
