Should he get in because he had a bunch of popular songs, many of which are not very good: not really
Does it matter if he gets in: no -- the hall of fame has been awful at picking who should and who should not get in

and these are not his best songs, IMO, by a long shot...but give the man his props
Take me home is my favorite song of his and a top 5 of mine all time, but these are other classics that deserve their due:
