We started the season #17 and will end it #9, but if you think back to the intention of this roster that we built, there would have been many reasons to believe that this season went totally off the rails if you were told…

- Tomi Ivisic wasn’t the top 20 player nationally that he was expected to be, and instead he was injured all season and took a huge step back from the freshman version of himself.

- Andrej Stojakovic would shoot 23% from three and only score double digits in 10 out of 20 Big Ten games - essentially becoming a role player.

- The guy brought in to be the starting PG and run the offense is only getting end-of-game blowout minutes

- Boswell would miss nearly a month of the Big Ten season

When you consider that no one thought this team was 2-seed good going into the season and then all shit happened, it’s quite incredible that we’re likely to be a 2 seed. A testament to how much of a revelation Wagler and Mirkovic have been, and to the stabilizing roles that Davis and Humichrous have played.
