He tailors his overall approach to his roster nicely. I think the offensive approach with this team is spot on and if we shoot just a little better, final four is realistic. We can beat anyone.
As bad as it has seemed, four of the five recent losses were on overtime to good teams and we win them all if we catch one break in each of the games.
In the other loss, we were flat against a better and more athletic team. Shit happens.
But I've seen friday's movie too many times and you can change your defense up in game to deal with the boyds of the world. We don't. Didn't you say yourself he got totally out coached (forgive me if I'm mixing you up with somebody else). And no, I don't think he should be fired, the goods outweigh the bads.
Let's just hit some fucking shots the next couple weeks and we may be pretty happy.

Macro level, if there is anything Brad does, it’s adjust his approach, often in season.
Micro level the “Brad doesn’t adjust in game” is a narrative that was set with the Loyola game, and people have just decided that’s the reality. It’s all confirmation bias at this point. Literally every single game there are adjustments and changes made. Sometimes they’re the right buttons, sometimes they’re wrong. But For every game we have supposedly lost because Brad won’t adjust, I’ll list one we won directly because of adjustments he made.

And gets exploited repeatedly by obvious bad matchups.
We haven't consistently had this kind of talent at Illinois since self.
It's certainly a tradeoff.

And it's not just Twitter--it's reddit, the call in shows, and in talking to friends/family in Champaign, lots of folks in everyday conversations around town. The latest Sun-Times Greenberg article seems to have pushed some people over the edge. The narrative around Brad at this point is set, and doesn't seem like it will go anywhere no matter how much he wins, barring a Final Four or natty. And even then I question if it ever goes away.
I can't deny there is a lot of frustrating shit, and I have my own nagging questions about Brad's limitations, but the complete lack of any sort of recent memory of this program is remarkable--either of what he's done or where it was. We just won the most regular season games in 20 years and are still in line for a 3 seed.
I don't have a lot of confidence we get out of the first weekend right now, and if that happens I shudder to think where the fanbase will go. We've already got idiots openly pining to bring back John Groce. Let's all take a beat.

Don't know who we play, but would love another shot at Wisconsin. And would feel pretty good against Washington if they happen to knock Bucky off this afternoon.
Does a loss drop us to the 3 line? Does a win (no matter who it is) solidify us on the 2 line?
Chance for redemption arc here...beat Wisconsin Friday, beat Michigan Saturday, beat MSU Sunday. We shall see.
