It would be worse if was UT-Austin in Houston than playing Houston in Houston.
Not that it's nothing, and yes, it will be pro-Houston, but the distance between the 2 arenas is pretty irrelevant. Nobody who cares about UH and will pay to go to those games lives near that campus...
