Houston is best in the country at not having turnovers, and we’re last in the country at forcing them. This is not an exaggeration. They are #1, we are #365
One area that should benefit us is that the FT picture is very lopsided. We are #1 in the country in FTA allowed, and they are #337 in getting to the line. In reality this will work against us as there’s no chance we get some big FTA advantage in Houston of all places, so the refs will employ autofoul against us on defense contrasted with can’t call em all when we’re on offense in order to “keep it even”

Gonzaga’s front court is pretty scary, I might actually like our chances better against Houston in terms of matchups. At least we have a size advantage against Houston. And of course Gonzaga raises the Adam Miller haunting potential. His 31% 3P% (25% in WCC) notwithstanding.
I might rather have Miami if Wilson was playing but I think with no Wilson you have to prefer UNC. And Miami beat UNC head to head with Wilson. Their kenpom rankings are almost identical (again with Wilson)
In terms of lurkers I’d rather have St Marys than BYU for sure.
Then on the other side of the bracket I’d rather have Florida than Arizona, and if we’re really stretching it I like Nebraska / Vanderbilt over Arkansas / Wisconsin.
Of course getting St Louis compared to us getting UNC in SC and Houston in Houston probably throws it all out the window. I’m just making conversation here.

I’m irritated at myself for being disappointed at a 3 seed, so I’m done with it. Stupid perspective.
Let’s get excited about seeing our name high up on the brackets. One of the best days of the year!
