I do not think that they will raise their prices mid cycle. They did raise the starting price of the
MacBook Air, but they also doubled the starting storage amount, which means that it’s actually cheaper than the same storage amount was on the last device. You just have to buy the version that has the bumped up storage amount now. Of course they also introduced a $600 laptop so that doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to buy an $1100 laptop now. I'm replacing my M1 MacBook Air with an M5 MacBook Air. Went with 2 TB storage and 24 GB of RAM. Still getting $400 back in trade in value for my almost six year old MacBook.
