I always held it against Weber, TBH
I think if we had filled out that recruiting class with actual talent a) Gordon might not have flipped; and b) even if he did, it wouldn't have hurt as much. And at the end of the day that IU team lost in the first round, Gordon went pro, and Sampson got fired so it didn't matter. And we had much bigger problems that took 15 years to get over.
