Easy walking distance from Washington Square (Italian) like 5 minutes and Chinatown obvs. Only about 15 minutes from Embarcadero.

You could even look in the Washington Square area for a restaurant...its a pretty cool place. I've never spent a lot of time in that neighborhood so have no recs.
