The dorking of Cenac ended up being the absolutley right gamble to take

But something like 16 of 18 shots in the paint were contested. We dorked Cenac and face guarded everything else
Other than giving up a few threes down the stretch, their offensive struggles were entirely our defense
Frankly, that Houston was what they were this year is probably a testament to how good a coach Sampson is. But his approach is also probably quintessential high-floor/low-ceiling kind of basketball.

On a different night they make a higher % and maybe it’s a different story, lord knows we’ve had plenty of guys kill us in the past by making every mid range shot that we give them.
But when guys like Sharp, Flemings, and Cenac would willingly take those contested midrange shots, it just felt like a gift every time.

Great game plan too but we played a C+/B- game and won comfortably. And this is one where Brad can grab all his donuts for leaning towards offense over defense (even though our defense was great).
