This feels like a dangerous question to ask, because my guess is there are people who would say "Of course. It's dumb to even ask," *and* there are people who would say "Of course not. It's dumb to even ask." My personal opinion is yes. Winning MVP in the same year you help deliver a first title in over a century is an auto-qualifier IMO.
