So yeah...screw the Chicago area. Now that BU and Co. are world-wide now it's really not relevant anymore to hit that area up for players.
I'm fine going more downstate anyways. As long as there is talent from the PEO area and south, that works for me.

Obviously a few exceptions to the rule (Ayo being the main one in the last 20 years), but there were plenty of years where we took middling guys out of Chicago in the hope that "one of these days" those teams would stop sending their best players to Duke and Kansas and start staying in-state...and it never happened.
I'm fine with us getting more team athleticism, but fuck the "we somehow owe Chicago" mantra with a rusty rake. They're just pissed we don't need them anymore. Previous Message
