We wouldn’t be going this hard for Blackwell if we didn’t think there was a need for another key player at one of the guard spots.

Certainly a world where we can roll with what we have, but it would require a lot of health, both freshman being ready to play a lot (and one being ready to start) and Jake Davis coming back and being capable of being a big minutes player.

If we bring back Mirk, Andrej, Jake, and Ivisic x2, we can add no one else and be at worst a preseason top 10 team. So it’s not to say this is some terrible scenario if we add no one else, and part of me has wondered if Andrej’s return would be influenced at all by a Blackwell add. But I still would think they’d at minimum want some kind of veteran ball handler insurance policy for the two freshmen.
