At 25 all were a reach. And by 57 nothing was left that was worth a damn.

it feels even more disappointing to me.
The one actual need that we expected to have which was filled in this draft was getting Theinemann. And while I like the pick, it’s still at a position that the league doesn’t view as being that important these days.
Then we had to use our 2nd round pick on a center because our big free agent signing retired. Out of the front office’s control that it became a need, but still sucks to have use a top pick on a position that was supposed to be solidified.
Then we use our other top 100 picks on what will be TE3 and WR4 or WR5 this year. Obviously you aren’t just drafting for the coming season and those are long-term plays, but it’s hard to feel great about that when you not only seemed to reach but did so at non-positions of need.
Really wanted this draft to give us at least 2-3 guys we could project as long-term starters on defense, wasn’t counting on using those spots for a blocking TE and gadget/kick returner. But maybe Ben will turn Thomas into Tyreek Hill and this will sound foolish.

Welcome to the Outlier Draft.
The best players? All at "non-premium" positions. The 3 guys I think that can't miss are a running back, a safety, and an off-ball LB.
The prospects at premium positions all have a major flaw. The best pass rusher has T-Rex arms. The best offensive tackles might actually be guards. The best QB thinks whole milk is spicy.
Trying to figure out who goes where is a dart throw. Well, to be fair, it's always a dart throw. It's *especially* a dart throw this year, ok? Trying to figure out which team is going to be ok overlooking which weakness is going to be damn near impossible.
In the thread below, I'll make some posts about my thoughts on the different positions to get into more specific discussions on players.
