Loaded up mom's car with pictures, stuff, and memories, and drove cross country back to CA. The car is now my son's (10yo SUV with, get this, 28K miles!), but I am comforted by the things I was able to bring back here to our new home in Laguna Hills...some important memories and others just miscellaneous kitchen stuff and more. Good to have long time family things as part of our lives.
